This month's scripture comes from Joshua 24:15 "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Many people believe that by deciding to change your life and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is no different from joining a cult.  God gives us the ability of free will, so instead of forcing a religion or way of life on us we are given the option to choose a life of sin or a life of righteousness.  God's perfect plan is to already have our paths laid out before us, but give each and everyone of us the chance of choosing it if we so please.  Granted living a life of sin can lead to an eternity of damnation, but God gives us the will to choose to serve Him or delight in the pleasures of this world.  I praise and thank God that my family and I have a clear understanding of who God is and willingly accept Him as lord over our lives.  Romans 6:23 "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our lord." I pray in Jesus' name you make the wise choice by accepting Jesus Christ as your lord and savior.
